Dear family and friends,

having finished all my exams of the A-levels I use my blog for the first time to keep in touch with you and to tell you about my stay in New Zealand.

I will depart on 25th August from Zurich with my friend Daria. For ten days we will stay in Australia to see some of the most famous places of the continent.

Then we will go to Nelson, a little city on the southern Island. There I'm going to stay in a homestay family and I'm going to join an English Class at the Nelson English Center to improve my English skills. For me, English will be important also for my studies (physiotherapy) because all documents are in English.

After three months of school I'm looking forward to having some time to travel around. I don't have fix plans for this time but I'm sure I will see some of the most impressive places in the world.

In January my friend Daria will return to Switzerland while I will go to Auckland for a Cambridge course.

I hope I can give you some impressions of my stay in New Zealand and I'm looking forward to reading your comments and your stories of your daily life!

Finally, my visa!

After having filled out many complicated forms I've received my visa for my stay in New Zealand.
I had to give informations about me I didn't even know about myself! :)

For me, it's still very unreal that in a few weeks I'm far away from my home. I'm looking forward to discovering the world on my own, and I'm already in touch with my homestay family in Nelson.

Maybe you know that a friend of mine, Daria is joining me in the first months. We are not in the same family and not in the same class at the Nelson English Center, but it is very nice not to be alone during the flight.
At the moment we are planning our short journey in Australia. For few days we are in Sydney, then in Melbourne, and finally in Adelaide.
